When your child’s neck muscles have grown strong enough (around 4 months) your baby is ready to face forwards to meet the world but in secure contact with you all the time.
Carrying your child facing you, in an upright position permits the free passage of air. Eye contact can be maintained and allows supervision of baby’s breathing.
